The bigger space the better for this artist! Do you have a business, a room, a dream? A subject matter that you think only Brooke’s custom art can capture? She often goes on location for decorative, faux and murals, so she has collected painting equipment along the way (but inquire). Brooke can guide you through the process.. You can inquire further by sending her a smoke signal.

Depending on the job, she often gives a ceiling price, based on a day rate, so you’ll know what you to expect. Extensive travel, paint and materials not included. Brooke accepts all kinds of commissions. She’ll let you know how her schedule is looking.
Feel free to discuss with the Artist any special requests or special expectations you may have about custom painting in general.

Consultation Fee
A consultation fee may or may not apply. This usually depends if there are preliminary trial boards, back and forth traveling, or extensive idea requests.

Photo Reference
Photographs taken by the Artist for the job are mainly used for reference and remain the property of the Artist.

To note, if you have an idea of a special place, such as “beachy” or “mountainess” Brooke can provide these photo references at no additional cost. You can also provide picture reference material.

Although she communicates to her clients where she is headed before she begins the commissioned work, her creative mastery is rooted in her intuitive process. Mural painting develops as it goes, for instance. Minor planning is acceptable. Usually, there are no detailed, preliminary sketches needed.

Paints Used
House Acrylic Paint, glazes and finishes.

Pricing
Before each job is started, a non-refundable down payment, or half of the total estimated cost is required, plus cost of paint and material. She’ll shop for you. This gets the Artist started. Take note that your decision to commission Brooke is based on the quality of work you have seen in her portfolio or on this website. The rest of the balance is due upon completion of the custom painting and acceptance by the client.

Any little fine tunings to make once the work is presented is acceptable. However, if specifications of the commission change in a dynamic way during the creation or after completion of the artwork, these changes, if can be made, will be reflected in the final contract. The purpose of stating the policy of the Artist is to kindly define the scope of the work and responsibility of each party prior to the execution of the final contract.

Copyright Issues
Clarification of Artist rights as protected by the Federal Copyright Act of 1976 and the Federal Visual Rights Act of 1991. Purchase of a copyrighted artwork does not transfer the copyrights, even for murals. This means the copyright to reproduce the works in copies, to produce derivative work based on the copyrighted image, and distribute copies is retained by the Artist. Any transfer of this copyright must be in writing expressly identifying what rights are being sold and for what purpose. Works of art cannot be modified without the permission of the Artist. Works cannot be distributed, mutilated or modified in any way that would prejudice the reputation of the Artist.
